Christmas route 430

Page last updated 30 December 2019

Children’s beaming bus stop smiles,

little arms competing to hail the hardest:

for clearly only huge will

can stop this enthrallingly different old bus.

There's gasps and grins,

people with parcels

and pretty bags full of favourite things.

The slightly stooped,

the slightly drunk,

walkers for park or river

and hungry mouths to Christmas Lunch.

Countless cameras capture the craic

on a happy day, with 500 trips.

From near Richmond Park, to near Fulham’s Ground

the hardest bus drivers’ heart

would find its reward.
