East Grinstead running day, 6 April

RT75, 12/13 April

Safeguard 90th anniversary

With apologies for the desert dust in the camera, RT4779 poses in front of Guildford

Cathedral. A regular service connected the Safeguard depot with the station, the

cathedral and the park & ride, also operated by RFs and an LT.

Windsor & Slough

Standard and Green Line RTs compared at Slough. RT4779 is working the garage

journey from Windsor to Cippenham and will leave the bus station heading west.

Hemel Hempstead

After good runs over the 302 and 347, the day closed with a trip to Warners End on

the Hemel Hempstead local service 320. The bus is seen enjoying a good view of

the hills from Northridge Way.

Bluebell Railway

Godstone, 'home' of the 409, and RTs 4779 and 3148 awaiting departure southwards.

Route 22 recce

RT4779 checked out the narrow roads around the original 22 terminus at Homerton

Clapton Park Tavern. The original stand in Clifden Road faced the other way, as

displayed by RT1 on 9 August 2014, 75 years to the day after its first visit.

Hertford

Rather obviously away from home, RT4779 stands opposite Hatfield Station before

working the return 341 to Hertford.

Not the Christmas Lights Tour

'Summer in the City' is the new name for the traditional Christmas Lights Tour, now

that it takes place in August. RT4779 pauses in Epsom en route for Hyde Park.

The organisers' 3RT3, RT1784, is followed up Park Lane in reverse order of seniority

by RT3183, RM1397 and RM2116.
