I know red RFs helped out in the Country area
from time to time, but really .....
Holidays
No RFs available.
Hemel Hempstead
After the usual long run via the 727 Green Line
Express, it was a pleasure to potter
round Redbourn, between Hemel and
Harpenden.
Uxbridge &
Ruislip
It was nice to see Cobham's TD95 in service on
the 211 - which did go to Ruislip
Lido on summer Sundays in its days as a TD
route, even if not when RF-operated.
RF486 was able to work former RF routes from
Leatherhead (416), Esher (218)
and Laleham (224) en route to the event.
It is seen here on the way home at
Laleham Church.
Cobham
Early snowstorms caused visitor numbers to be
reduced at Cobham this year,
but services ran to time and the weather
cleared later in the day. RTL139 takes
a break between runs on the 499.

This year's Bluebell outing was as part of
the LT contingent at the north end of the line - this is Kingscote
Station and shows the good range of custom attracted, evidently
distracted by yet another arrival. Route 73 reached Crawley,
not Tottenham.
RF486 worked the 237 between Cobham Bus
Museum and Chertsey Station, the
direct route under the 9'9" bridge at New
Haw, whilst RM1033 making a connection
was on the Great Cockcrow service 498.
Worcester Park route training
A number of Worcester Park Running
Day routes will work from Merton Garage,
so the canteen had to be checked...
At South Wimbledon, there was the unusual
sight of an RT and an RF going their
separate ways.

Towards the end of the day, RF486 is joined
in the town centre by two RTs, two
RFs, a Routemaster, an XF and an RP.

Emsworth
On a private trip to the south coast, RF486
found a cosy slot for the evening.
But the following morning, the scene had
changed....
Now, how do we get to Cobham?
