Carshalton 2007

Photography

Operations are on public roads.  Please stay safe when taking photographs and keep to the pavements.  And make sure you do not obstruct any TfL bus operations.

Send us your pictures, for this site
We will be putting up a gallery of pictures of the event, as we did for Hackney Marshes (here).  We would welcome any good pictures from you. We can’t pay you but if we use your photographs we will credit you and, of course, copyright remains with you. Please e-mail digital images or scanned prints. We will resize them if necessary. If you have prints but no scanner, please contact us at the same e-mail address and we’ll let you know where to send them. We will return the prints if you ask us to.

Locations
A selection of places that might be good for photography:
  • Carshalton Depot (213, 154 plus small static display)
  • Carshalton Ponds and High Street (157, 77B, 115A, 408, 725) - be careful around Carshalton Ponds as the pavements are narrow or non-existent
  • Wallington Station and Parkgate Road (157, 77B, 115A, 234A, 403) - indeed anywhere between Wrythe Green and Wallington can provide period background
  • Sutton Garage and Sutton Green (80A, 88, 151, 154, 213, 711 plus special workings)
  • Rose Hill, a few hundred yards south of Rosehill roundabout - picturesque parkland background for southbound buses (88, 711)
  • Mitcham Cricketers and Cricket Green (77B, 88, 115A, 711, 118)
  • West Croydon Tamworth Road and Station Road - buses and trams (403, 408, 725).

If you know the area, you may have other ideas for photo-opportunities. Share them with us here and we will look at adding them to the list.
