Route history

Operated between Kingston and Belmont with LT Scooters as the 113 in General days, the number 213 came into existence with the 1934 renumbering.  The route was operated by Kingston and Sutton garages, with Kingston's allocation moving to Norbiton on the opening of the new garage in May 1952.  Shortly afterwards, RFs were introduced.

In 1962, the Sutton to Belmont section was replaced by the 151.  Just over a year later, the road was lowered under the bridge at Worcester Park station enabling the route to be double-decked with RTs. At the same time, the 213A was introduced and other changes made.
